Multi-Platinum-selling, BRIT Award-winning, arena-filling giants Catfish and the Bottlemen played the first of two sell-out shows at TK Maxx presents Depot Live at Cardiff Castle Friday.

 In a summer which will see the Welsh legends play just six UK dates including the band’s return to Reading and Leeds Festivals next month, the iconic setting in the Welsh capital was treated to a 90 minute set.

Kicking off the night with singles Longshot and Kathleen, the group filled the set with singles from their decade-long career including Pacifier, Fallout, Soundcheck and 7 before ending the night with 2014’s Cocoon.

 Supporting Catfish and the Bottlemen was Mercury nominated four-piece The Big Moon.

Van McCann and co will head back to Cardiff Castle Saturday night for a second sold out show.
